Family Planning Fellow

Biosketch:

Valerie French is a Fellow in Family Planning at UCSF. She completed her medical school training at the University of Missouri-Columbia. She then went on to train in Obstetrics and Gynecology residency program at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. During her residency, Valerie did research exploring how patients get information on contraception from non-Ob/Gyn providers. She is currently pursuing additional research training and investigating the referral process that women experience with their reproductive health.

Areas of Interest:

• Contraception counseling by non-Ob/Gyn providers
• Contraception use in women with complex medical problems
