Biosketch:

Dr. Goodman serves as Director of the TEACH Program which provides curriculum development, professional advocacy, and training support in reproductive health for primary care training programs in Northern California. She serves as an Associate Clinical Professor for UCSF Department of Family and Community Medicine, and is a member Planned Parenthood Federation of America’s National Medical Committee, PRH's Residency Education Initiative's National Advisory Committee, and a delegate for California Academy of Family Practice.

She served as Director of Medical Education for Planned Parenthood Golden Gate (2003 - 2007), and as Training Director for the California Access through Primary Care (now the Health Workforce Pilot) Project (2005 - 2007). She continues to have a strong interest in policy through her work with SFP, PRH, ARHP and CAFP.

Her research interests include contraceptive access and adherence, long acting reversible contraception, miscarriage management, reproductive health training in primary care specialties, and predictors of ongoing provision. Her international work has focused on capacity building of urban and rural reproductive health providers.

Dr. Goodman completed medical school at Stanford, residency training in both Obstetrics and Gynecology (2 years at UW) and Family Medicine (Contra Costa Regional), an MPH and Research Fellowship (UC Berkeley), and a Faculty Development Fellowship (UC San Francisco). In addition to her clinical, research, and teaching activities in reproductive health, she brings broad experience in international health training and public health advocacy.
