Biosketch:

Andrea Jackson is an Assistant Professor at the University of California, San Francisco, Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology & Reproductive Sciences. She completed her medical school training at Harvard Medical School, her residency training at the integrated Brigham and Women’s Massachusetts General Hospital program, and went on to complete sub-speciality training in Family Planning at the University of California, San Francisco. As a faculty member, she has been the Medical Director of the San Francisco General Hospital Obstetrics and Gynecology Outpatient Clinic and is now currently the Director of Complex Contraception at Mt. Zion. Her research interests include provider bias in contraception counseling based on patient’s race/ethnicity.

  • Increasing diversity in medicine
